Delta Decks (“we”, “us”) designs and builds custom decks in Toronto, Vaughan and the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect through deltadecks.com, why we collect it, who receives it, how long we keep it and how you can exercise your rights. It follows Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for residents of Quebec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector as amended by Law 25.

Information we collect
When you request an estimate
Our quote forms ask for your name, email address, phone number, the location of your project and a description of it; one of them also asks how you prefer to be contacted. The deck price calculator asks for your name, the project location, your phone number and/or email address and optional notes, and attaches the estimate you built (deck size, materials, options and price range).
When you contact us
When you call or email us, we receive your contact details and what you tell us about your project.
When you visit the site
Like every website, our server receives your IP address, your browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting provider keeps these server logs for security and troubleshooting. When you send a form, the site also keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address with the time, so it can refuse more than five requests in ten minutes; these records expire after ten minutes, and the site deletes expired records the next time a form is sent.
We also use cookies and similar technologies, described below. We do not ask for sensitive information, and our website is not intended for children under 14.
How we use your information
- to answer your request, prepare estimates and quotes, and contact you about your project;
- to keep the site and its forms secure and to prevent spam and abuse;
- only if you agree: to measure how the site is used (Google Analytics), to measure our advertising, and to show Delta Decks ads to people who visited our site (Google Ads).
By sending a form, you agree that we use the information in it to answer you. Form requests are sent by email to our business mailbox, sales@deltadecks.com; the website does not store them in a database. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Cookies and your choices
On your first visit, a banner asks for your choice: you can accept all, refuse all, or choose by category. Optional cookies stay off until you turn them on. You can change your choice at any time with , also at the bottom of every page. Refusing does not limit your use of the site; maps then show a button instead.

What Google’s tag does before you choose. We use Google Consent Mode. Until you accept, the Google tag on our pages does not set or read cookies; it only sends limited cookie-free signals (for example, that a page was viewed, with the time, the page address and your browser type), which Google uses to estimate visits and ad results in aggregate. Google receives your IP address with any request; it states that Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. If you refuse a category, Google’s cookies for it are deleted from our domain.
Videos. Our project videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): YouTube does not set cookies until you play a video. When you play one, Google’s privacy policy applies.
Other services our pages load. Photo sliders and galleries use code from jsDelivr, a public content delivery network, and our review badges load images from Trustindex. Your browser downloads these files directly, so these providers receive your IP address and browser information. When you follow a link to another site, such as Facebook, Instagram or YouTube, that site’s privacy policy applies.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage Google’s advertising at adssettings.google.com.
Who receives your information
- Google LLC: analytics, advertising, maps and videos, as described above, and our business email (Google Workspace), which stores the requests you send us (Google’s privacy policy);
- Web Hosting Canada, which hosts our website;
- professional advisors and authorities, when the law requires it.
Our service providers may use your information only to provide their services to us.
Information stored outside Quebec and Canada
Google, which also runs our business email, processes and stores information in the United States and other countries. There, your information is protected by our providers’ commitments, and it may be accessible to courts and authorities under local law.
How long we keep it
- Your requests and our exchanges: as long as needed to answer you and follow up on your project; if you become a client, as long as our business records and legal obligations (such as tax rules) require. Then we delete them.
- Hashed IP address for spam protection: expires after ten minutes and is deleted the next time a form is sent.
- Server logs: for a limited time, set by our hosting provider, for security.

How we protect it
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), form requests are not stored on the web server, and only the people who need your information to serve you can access it. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious harm, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to give you access to it, to correct it, and to delete it when we no longer need it. You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example with . Residents of Quebec can also ask for their computerized personal information in a structured, commonly used technological format, and ask us to stop disseminating it.
Send your request to the person responsible (contact details above); we may ask you to confirm your identity, and we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information.
Changes to this policy
When our practices change, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects your cookie choices, the banner asks you again.
